Air defense support from Britain to Ukraine

The UK has pledged £50m worth of air defense packages to Ukraine.

Prime Minister’s Office Number 10 said in a statement that Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, who made his first visit to Kiev, met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and promised that his country will continue to stand by the Ukrainians.

Sunak confirmed that the UK will provide a new air defense package to help protect Ukrainian civilians and critical national infrastructure from the heavy rain of Russian attacks.

“The £50m defense aid package includes 125 anti-aircraft guns and technology support, including electronic warfare capability against dozens of radars and drones, to counter deadly Iranian-supplied drones.”


Zelenskiy also shared on his Telegram account, that during the meeting with Sunak at the Presidential Office in the capital Kiev, they discussed the cooperation between the UK and Ukraine and global security issues.
