BC “Uralmash” changed its head coach for the second time in six months

The Uralmash basketball club from Yekaterinburg, which plays home matches in Verkhnyaya Pyshma, has changed its head coach for the second time since the beginning of the current season. Instead of Vadim Filatov, the post was taken by the former head coach of Lokomotiv-Kuban Yevgeny Pashutin.

The press service of Uralmash does not name the reasons for the next change of the head coach. Perhaps it is that the team lost in the last two matches to its principal rivals, who, like the Sverdlovsk basketball players, are fighting for the Super League-1 medals. On December 25, the team lost to BC “Temp-SUMZ-UMMC” from Revda at 106: 104, MK-Ural reported, and on December 28, “Rune” from Moscow – 81:80.

In these lost matches, the team was led by Vadim Filatov, who replaced Boris Livanov as the head coach of Uralmash. With the latter, the team parted with the scandal voiced by the president of Uralmash, Viktor Ganienko. Allegedly, the gap occurred after a rude conversation that took place after a lost match with CSKA-2.

Also, Uralmash has already dropped out of the fight for the Russian Cup. The team lost to Samara in 1/4.

At the moment, Uralmash ranks third in the Superleague-1 standings, with 11 victories and 3 defeats.

The new head coach of Uralmash, Evgeny Pashutin, has headed Lokomotiv-Kuban from the United League for the past few years. He left the team during the current season.
