“I’m sure Kuban will return to the Premier League”: Evdokimov after leaving the club

Robert Evdokimov left the post of head coach of the Kuban football club. This happened after a home defeat from Ulyanovsk “Volga” in the Cup of Russia. Krasnodar stopped playing in the tournament. The opponent takes the last place in the First League, and Kuban itself is in the relegation zone there.

– Lost, everyone is unhappy. Fans shout “Shame” to me and to the players. And they shout correctly, we understand everything, but we cannot turn the tide. We create chances, but don’t score, concede “cheap” goals… 8 injured players didn’t play today. It’s very hard, but we have 2 games left in the championship, we can’t let the team fall into a deep psychological hole. I have never lost so much, my teams have never played so badly in terms of the quality of football. Despite the absence of key players, we must play better. We work, we remain indifferent. But we, I repeat, do not succeed. And the coach is always to blame for this,” Evdokimov said at the post-match press conference.

Soon there was information about the termination of cooperation between Kuban and the coach by mutual agreement of the parties.

Through the club website, the specialist thanked the fans, players and management of Kuban for the time spent in the team.

– I am sure that the club will certainly continue its development and will soon return to where it should be – to the Premier League, – said Robert Evdokimov.

Under the guidance of the coach, Kuban played 44 official matches (15 wins, 14 draws and 15 losses). Last season, the yellow-greens under the leadership of Evdokimov retained their place in the First League and left the group stage of the Russian Cup, beating Krasnodar 3-0 in the derby.

Head coach Oleg Nechaev is preparing the team for the next match against KAMAZ on November 20 in the 19th round of the First League.
