As if Wisła Kraków had enough problems in the games of the 1st league, in which it has not won for four matches, there is one more problem. The “White Star” will not be able to use winger Michael Pereira for much longer than initially expected. All because of a wrong diagnosis …
Pereira was injured on August 5 in a match against Odra Opole. The first diagnosis spoke of a muscle tear, and Jerzy Brzęczek told the media that the break in the footballer’s game would last about two weeks. It turned out, however, that the club doctor Mariusz Urban made a mistake, he made a wrong diagnosis, because the muscle was not torn, but torn. And this causes a much longer rehabilitation. The whole situation caused, on the one hand, a storm in the club and, on the other hand, understandable irritation of the player himself. Ultimately, he decided to go to Spain, where he is treated by his trusted doctor.
Wisła therefore published a communiqué on Friday in which it explains: The original diagnosis of Michael Pereira – due to the specificity of the injury – turned out to be wrong. Re-examination showed a rupture of the biceps muscle, which resulted in the prolonged absence of the “White Star” helper. The player is currently in Spain, where treatment has been applied, which after returning to Krakow will be continued under the supervision of the club staff. Progress in rehabilitation will be monitored on an ongoing basis, and the footballer’s training depends on possible pain.
