The incident was the result of a flood in the apartment on the floor above
After the collapse of the ceiling in a residential building in the center of Moscow, on Tverskaya-Yamskaya Street, a 37-year-old man was hospitalized. Doctors diagnosed him with a concussion.
As it became known to MK, on January 19, a flood occurred in the house 20/1 on Tverskaya-Yamskaya Street. The apartment on the third floor, where Ivan (the name has been changed) lived, was flooded by a neighbor from above. Severe consequences were avoided: a tenant from the fourth floor promptly called emergency services.
But for the victims of the flood, the matter did not end with some stains on the ceiling. The next day, when Ivan was lying on the bed and watching TV, a piece of the ceiling collapsed on him – made of plaster and cement, about 20 cm thick. Arriving doctors diagnosed the victim with a concussion. Ivan, having promised the doctors to observe bed rest, refused hospitalization and stayed at home. But after cleaning up the consequences of the collapse, the man felt short of breath and dizzy. Then he again called an ambulance and “surrendered” to the doctors, who took him to the Botkin hospital. After being discharged, Ivan plans to go to court to recover compensation from his neighbor.
