State Duma deputy urged to check the taxes of Galkin, Urgant and Khamatova

TV presenters Maxim Galkin and Ivan Urgant, as well as actress Chulpan Khamatova, may be subject to additional tax audits. State Duma deputy Ivan Sukharev sent a corresponding appeal to the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov.

The parliamentarian insists on checking the payment of taxes on the income of these stars and justifies this by the fact that these media people who do not support the military special operation in Ukraine are currently selling movable and immovable property in Russia. Such information appears in the media, Sukharev noted.

However, according to him, it is necessary to check the sources of income for which these assets were acquired, as well as the payment of taxes on these funds.

“In this regard, and also on the basis of the materials of the publications, I ask you to instruct you to conduct an audit for the payment of taxes on the income of the above persons and, if it is confirmed that they have not been paid, take prosecutorial response measures, including the arrest of all accounts, objects of movable and immovable property with subsequent transfer to the state’s income, ”the deputy wrote in the appeal.

Recall that many Russian cultural and show business figures after the start of the military special operation in Ukraine refused to support it, some left Russia. Ivan Urgant, Maxim Galkin and Chulpan Khamatova were among the most prominent people who declared their rejection of the special operation. Later, however, a number of Russian high-ranking officials expressed understanding towards them: for example, the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov, speaking about the position of Urgant, noted that he considers the artist to be a “great patriot”, and his statements and actions are caused by fear.
