
Soldiers of the special forces of the Russian Guard destroyed the positions of 13 drone operators of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) in the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR). The coordinates were fixed as a result of reconnaissance.
The operators were destroyed by artillery fire, as stated in the message on the agency’s website.
And during the search activities in the settlements of the LPR, a large number of weapons were seized. These are 14 foreign-made grenade launchers, an AT4SC-RS 84 mm anti-tank grenade launcher, and a US-made M136A1 flamethrower.
The day before, on August 1, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that ten Ukrainian UAVs were shot down by the country’s air defense means in a day. This happened in the areas of the settlements of Makeevka and Petropavlovka on the territory of the DPR, as well as Lyubimovka, Zaporozhye region. In addition, drones were shot down over Veropolye, Andreevka, Plants, Izyum, Krasny and Chervony Yar in the Kharkiv region.
Before that, the governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, said that a drone with an explosive device fell into the courtyard of the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation. As a result, six people were injured. Two are in a state of moderate severity. The rest have minor injuries. All managed to provide medical assistance. Razvozhaev also said that the Ukrainian side was behind the attack.
