The website of mining of BIT Mining in Ohio has reached a capacity of around 50 megawatts amid its expansion in the United States, the crypto miner announced on Tuesday.

BIT Mining’s Ohio data center will continue to scale for a planned capacity of up to 150 MW. The site is currently carrying out self-help operationsmining while hosting third-party miners.
Hong Kong-headquartered BIT Mining is a New York Stock Exchange-listed cryptocurrency miner and was among those that moved operations out of China during the nationwide crackdown.
The relocation of its sites from mining outside China at a cost
Additional machine deployments mining in BIT Mining’s operations in Kazakhstan are expected, where its bitcoin computing power topped 146.8 petahashes per second on Tuesday.
The company posted a net loss of $29.6 million in the third quarter of 2021, compared to a net loss of $14.5 million in the second quarter and a net loss of $4.5 million in the third quarter of 2020, according to its latest quarterly report.
BIT Mining continues to grow as part of its expansion into the United States and conducts self-mining operations and also hosts third-party miners. The company of mining was forced to relocate its operations outside of China, recording substantial losses in the third quarter, but the electrical capacity of the Ohio site is breaking records.
