Daydream View is Google’s virtual reality glasses

Google has taken the first step in its introduction into the virtual reality with the launch of the VR Daydream View glasses. The concept is similar to that of Samsung’s Gear VR, glasses that require a smartphone to work. It is naturally compatible with the new Google Pixel

A detail that draws attention is the external material of the glasses, with the use of microfibras and fabrics to resemble it to the clothes we usually wear. Inside it is completely padded for the best wearing comfort. It will be available in three colors (red, gray and white)

The accompanying controller is wireless and features Wii Remote-style position sensing. It only has two buttons and a touch panel and can be hidden and stored within the glasses themselves.

As for applications that support the use of the controller and glasses, the company has shown some collaborations, for example, an exclusive game of the Harry Potter saga has been developed, Fantastic Beast de JK Rowling with which you can use spells and play in the first person. It will also have educational apps or games such as ship simulators.

Google’s own applications have been adapted for virtual reality and the Daydream controller, such as photos, youtube or streetview.

Google Daydream View will hit the market in November for $ 79.
