Microsoft gave the surprise in its day by announcing that by 2017 we would have a new, more powerful Xbox console with support for virtual reality and 4K called Project Scorpio. Now we know that the launch date of this mysterious console will be June 11.
Project Scorpio will offer a power significantly higher than the current XBox One, with 6 TFLOPS of power that will allow it to run titles at 4K resolution, including games present in the universal applications platform of Windows 10. Current Xbox One games will also be compatible .
In addition to 4K, Scorpio will bring virtual reality to Microsoft’s console, an area that has not yet been explored as its main competitor, Sony.
If all goes according to plan and there are no surprise announcements from other companies, Project Scorpio will be the most powerful console on the market to date.
