SteelSeries announces the full compatibility of its new controllers for games on mobile platforms with Android or iOS, specifically for the -barely known- Fortnite.
The most viral game of last year 2018 expanded to all types of platforms, starting on PC, going through consoles and ending on mobile phones. Players demanded better gameplay, especially on smartphones, because on consoles as soon as you are used to the command you can play quietly. However, keyboard and mouse support was also enabled for consoles with devices like the ones recently announced by Razer and SteelSeries. The point is that for smartphones things were more difficult, as there were not many manufacturers with compatibility in the famous game.
Two weeks ago, the Fortnite update to version 7.3 on smartphones enabled support for Bluetooth controllers, among other things, already acquiring certain playability on said platform. Now, SteelSeries also adds support to their latest creations, the Stratus Duo, Stratus XL and Nimbus controllers.
The novel device, SteelSeries Stratus Duo, reaches 20 hours of autonomy and is connected by networks 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth, thus being able to switch between Windows and Android / Samsung VR / Oculus Go easily. This new command incorporates magnetic Hall effect actuation triggers, providing greater precision than existing controls such as the Stratus XL. Joyticks also enjoy their button (by pressing on them). Even a 1.8 meter Micro USB cable.
The price of SteelSeries Stratus Duo starts at $ 59.99, and will be available immediately.
