Limit of 2000 kWh for cheaper electricity! Here are the biggest energy guzzlers in your home 11/19/2022

We checked how much electricity each household appliance consumes and which of them generate the greatest consumption. The results are averaged, as some households may use a given device more often than others. We provide data on an annual basis, and the statistics provided by PGNiG came to our aid. They will help to recognize where it is worth implementing savings so as to fit within the limit of 2000 kWh proposed by the new act.

According to the draft act on special solutions for the protection of electricity consumers, next year electricity prices are to be frozen at the level from this year, if a household consumes no more than 2 MWh per year. In the case of households with people with disabilities, the limit is to be 2.6 MWh per year, while in the case of families with a Large Family Card and farmers – 3 MWh.

In order to take advantage of the price freeze up to the limits of 2.6 MWh and 3 MWh per year, you will have to submit a statement to the energy company confirming that you meet the conditions, i.e. that you have a Large Family Card or a certificate of disability.

After exceeding certain consumption limits, recipients will be billed for each subsequent kWh consumed at the rates that apply in the tariff of a given energy company from 2023 or in the case of free market offers – according to the prices contained in the contract with the seller.
