Goodyear Eagle GO. Concept tire made of renewable materials debuts

A new concept tire with a tread made of almost 100% renewable materials! The Goodyear Eagle GO is making its debut in tandem with the Citroën oli prototype vehicle.

Utilizing a range of sustainable materials in the tread compound, such as sunflower oils, pine resins, natural rubber and rice husk ash, Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company engineers developed the Goodyear Eagle GO concept tire. It will be fitted to Citroën’s new concept car, oli.

“Concept tires are a fantastic way for Goodyear to develop breakthrough technologies that could be incorporated into our products in the future. The lessons learned from this project lead us to our goal of being a mobility company that consistently innovates its products and services, ”explains Laurent Colantonio, Goodyar’s Regional Director, EMEA Passenger Tire Technology.
